Bethune School Receives NFL ‘Keep Gym in School’ Grant
Cardinals QB Kurt Warner joined Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and the NFL Network’s Rod Woodson on November 18 in the unveiling of a refurbished field at Bethune Elementary and Middle School in Phoenix as part of the NFL Network’s “Keep Gym in School” initiative. The school will receive a $55,000 for a new field and improvements to existing PE facilities under the program supported in Arizona by the Cardinals and Cox Communications Arizona. Warner is featured in a “Keep Gym in School” PSA running on the NFL Network, Cardinals’ game broadcasts and Cox. During the off-season, the Cardinals will host a training program for Phoenix school PE teachers to introduce football-inspired lesson plans to get kids excited about physical education.
